1. Information Collection
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and other contact information when you create an account, book an appointment, or communicate with us. We also automatically collect certain information about your device and usage of our services. With your consent, we may collect and use your device's geolocation to sort nearby professionals and display approximate distances. When you use the voice assistant or AI advisor, we process your spoken or written queries (including transcribed audio) to generate responses. When an admin creates a professional profile from a website URL, we use a third-party AI service to extract publicly available information from that URL to pre-fill the profile.
2. Use of Information
We use your information to: provide, maintain, and improve our services; process your bookings and payments; send you appointment confirmations and reminders; respond to your questions and requests; send you marketing communications (with your consent); power AI-assisted features such as the AI advisor and voice assistant (queries are processed by third-party LLM providers); and protect against fraudulent activity.
3. Information Sharing
We share your information with professionals you book appointments with, payment service providers (such as Stripe) to process your transactions, calendar providers (Google Calendar, Outlook) when you enable calendar sync, and service providers who help us operate our platform, including third-party AI providers that power our AI advisor, voice assistant, and profile-enrichment features. We never sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of sensitive data and regular security audits.
5. Your Rights (including Quebec Law 25)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to the processing of your data, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. In accordance with Quebec's Act 25 (modernizing legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information), you may also request a description of the personal information we hold about you and how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@prestoservice.ca.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, unless we're legally required to retain it.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyze usage of our platform, and personalize content. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or through a notice on our platform.
